Practicing the skill of mindfulness (attention & intention) is similar to practicing the skill of learning to play a musical instrument.
Below is an estimate of the time required to learn how to play a guitar.
Practice Hours for Guitar
A student can achieve this much practice over the course of the summer break.
A busy professional practicing 30 min per day needs 10 months to reach the same goal.
